The Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) have invited applications for internship programme - 2013. Engineering graduates, M.A or M.Sc holders (Economics), CA, ICWA, MBA graduates, etc are eligible to apply. The minimum period of internship is 6 months and the maximum period is one year. Interns are selected on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Interested candidates should send filled up application forms (in prescribed form) before 21st October 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for internship in PPAC
Internship is open for candidates with post graduate or professional degree in specific subjects. PG degree like M.A or M.Sc is obtained in the stream of Economics. Those with M.Phil or Ph.D in Economics will be given preference. Candidates with engineering degree are also eligible to apply. Such candidates must have obtained the qualification in streams of Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Other eligible qualifications must be any one of the following.
- Chattered Accounting
- Cost Accounting from ICWA
- MBA in Finance
- MBA in Oil and Gas
Applicant should have computer operating skills as additional qualification. The computer skills are preferred in handling Microsoft office tools like PowerPoint, word processing, and excel. Candidate should be capable of analyzing data and make projections especially in the field of finance and economics. Age of the applicant must be less than 25 years. The upper age limit is 28 years for aspirants holding Ph.D degree.
Rules and Regulations for Internship
- Appointment of interns are made on full time basis and is of temporary nature
- Selected interns are not allowed to take up any other assignment / study during the course of internship
- The minimum period of internship is 6 months and the maximum period is one year
- Upon successful completion of internship, the interns will be granted with a ‘Certificate of internship’
Selection Process for internship in PPAC
Interns are selected on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Added weightage of 5% and 12% marks is given for candidates with MPhil and Ph.D degree respectively.
Application Procedure for Internship in PPAC
Applications can be submitted in the same format as mentioned in the website of PPAC. Selected interns should join PPAC within a maximum duration of 4 weeks. Before joining, they should compulsorily attend a short tern course conducted by PPAC. This course covers all aspects related to PPAC. Last date of submitting applications for the year is 21st October 2013. Completed applications must be sent to the address of the Additional Director (HR) of the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell.
