2. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 : We all knew it was coming, but now its official – the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is here. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is certainly a smartphone of great beauty and is packed with features that make it an improvement on the Galaxy S3. Jumping from a 4.8-inch display to an almost Note-like 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy S4 promises 441 ppi which is a massive jump in terms of clarity. LG's latest flagship smartphone is going toe-to-toe with Samsung's Galaxy S4 - in both specs and the wide variety of added features LG has decked this device out with. Specs are rather impressive too, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a gorgeous high-res IPS LCD 1080p display and either 16GB or 32GB options for the internal storage. Only time will tell if this can rival the Samsung Galaxy S4 in terms of sales, and popularity.

The first phone designed with the help of Motorola's parent company Google comes packed with nifty gesture tech, along with a whole host of customisation options. You'll be able to choose between black and white for the front plate, then a load of colourful options for the rear, ascents and even the pre-loaded wallaper. Front and center is a 4.7-inch, 720p AMOLED screen, which enables the Active Notfications function and internally there's a Motorola X8 chipset. Google Now has been improved to listen out, all the time, for the words 'Okay Google Now' and will then allow you to talk to the phone without touching it.
